I'm such a grumpy old man. I've become my father. I hate fireworks (that's not new though).
They shouldn't be sold to the public, let alone up at Wood Green. That is really irresponsible.

Already the air is heavy with the burn of gunpowder. All around - and it is only 20h03. Still, I think it is going to rain. Damp squibs.

I can relate - I'm not a fan either. I don't like the noise, the smell or the resulting pollution and sick and injured animals. I also hate the fact that people don't even know what it is they're celebrating - but that's modern life all over, isn't it? ;)
